SUPPORT FOR AN OBJECT AND A METHOD FOR SECURING SAMETECHNICAL FILEDThe invention relates to a support for an object. More specifically, it relates to a support for an object for facilitating alignment of the object. The object may typically be a monument, such as for example a gravestone, or a beam.BACKGROUNDAn object in the form of a monument, such as for example a gravestone is usually installed on the ground by digging a base into the ground and fastening the monument to the base. The base is commonly positioned close to the surface of the ground. Subsidence of the ground, frost cycles or heavy rain and storms may cause the monument and the base to slant. In addition to the aesthetic aspect, the slanting of monuments present a risk of property damage and a risk of injury to people or animals if the monument should tilt or tip. Furthermore, the work of straightening a monument can be onerous and timeconsuming.NO319440B1 describes a support for a gravestone comprising an extra foundation connected to the base of a gravestone. The foundation is connected to a centre plug that may be dug into the ground. The foundation may move up and down relative to the centre plug.An object in the form of a beam or column to be secured to the ground, may be mountedP31219NO00 description and claims onto a beam shoe which is anchored directly to the ground or via a concrete foundation. It may be difficult to insert the beam shoe vertically into the ground, or to maintain the beams shoe vertically when arranged in uncured concrete, which may cause the beam or column to be slanted when mounted onto the beam shoe. An un-intentional slanting of a beam of a column may cause problems when being used as support for various constructions.Publication US2015259943 A1 discloses a ground anchor with tilt compensation, wherein a compensation plate having a portion located above a top plate of a post holder of the ground anchor and provided with slots for fastening the compensation plate to the post holder by means of a plurality of through bolts.Publication JP2021055263A discloses a support similar to the support in US2015259943A1, but the tiltable connection is tiltable in one direction only.SUMMARYThe invention has for its object to remedy or to reduce at least one of the drawbacks of the prior art, or at least provide a useful alternative to prior art.The object is achieved through features, which are specified in the description below and in the claims that follow. The invention is defined by the independent patent claims. The dependent claims define advantageous embodiments of the invention. In a first aspect the invention relates to a support for an object comprising:- an elongated member for being at least partly inserted into a ground, the elongated member having a first end portion and a second end portion;- a fastening device for supporting the object, the fastening device comprising a base plane having a first face for facing a downwardly facing portion of the object, a second face opposite the first face, and a base plane bore extending between the first face and the second face;- a connector for connecting the fastening device to the first end portion of the elongateP31219NO00 description and claims member, the connector having a top face for abutting against a mating surface of the second face of the fastening device, wherein the top face is formed as a spherical segment; and- a bolt configured to pass through the base plane bore and into a connector bore so that the fastening device is allowed to pivot and tilt with respect to the connector when the bolt is untightened, and restricted from pivoting and tilting when the bolt is tightened. The object may typically be a gravestone, a headstone, a memorial, or the like, or a beam or a column for supporting a structure. In a position of use of the support, the base plane of the support may abut against a base or downwardly facing portion of the object. The effects of the support for an object in accordance with the invention are as follows. Firstly, the elongated member, inserted into a ground, can be used to anchor the object to the ground when the object has been firmly connected to the support by the fastening device. The elongated member may typically be inserted vertically into the ground. The support may ensure that the object is kept in a preferred orientation, most often in a substantially vertical orientation or in a substantial horizontal orientation, mostly unaffected by frost cycles, heavy wind, heavy storms, or other external forces. The object may thus safely be anchored to the ground, with a decreased risk of slanting or falling over.Secondly, the mating spherical segments of the top face of the connector and the second face of the base plane of the fastening device, allows that the fastening device may be both pivoted or rotated and tilted with respect to the connector and thus the elongated member. Thus, the spherical segments resemble a ball joint. A ball joint may facilitate a stepless alignment of the fastening device with respect to the elongated member. The base plane extends in an X-Y direction. In a neutral position, the base plane is arranged perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the elongated member. The pivotable and tiltable connection is configured to allow tilting and pivoting of the base plane with respect to the elongated member so that the base plane may be arranged horizontally and rotationally aligned even if the longitudinal axis of the elongated member is slanting with respect to vertical.P31219NO00 description and claims Thirdly, the fastening device and the connector may be configured to be fixedly connected by means of tightening a single bolt. Due to the mating spherical segments, a vertical load from the object is transferred via the faces of the mating spherical segments, and not the bolt itself. In one embodiment, at least one of connector bore and the base plane bore has a diameter that is larger than a diameter of the shaft of the bolt, so that the fastening device is displaceable with respect to the connector when the bolt is untightened. A maximum displacement between the fastening device and the connector may thus be controlled by a difference between the diameter of the bore of at least one of the connector bore and the base plane bore, and the bolt.In one embodiment, one of the connector bore and the base plane bore is provided with threads for mating with threads of the shaft of the bolt. The connector bore may comprise:- a first bore portion extending from the top face of the connector; and- a second bore portion opposite the first bore portion, wherein the second bore portion has a larger diameter than the first bore portion and is configured to receive a nut such that the nut fits snugly therein, the nut and the bolt being configured for being in a threaded connection;and wherein the base plane bore has a diameter that is larger than a diameter of a shaft of the bolt.In an embodiment wherein the second bore portion having a larger diameter than the first bore portion, a top face of the not will when tightening the bolt, rest against a shoulder at the border between the second bore portion and the first bore portion of the connector. To prevent the bolt from rotating within the second bore portion when the bolt is rotated, the second bore portion may for example have some ovality, or have a form sufficiently mating with a perimeter of the nut to prevent the bolt from rotating when the bolt is tightened. In an alternative embodiment, the head of the bolt may be at least partly recessed inP31219NO00 description and claims snugly fit a recess in an indentation forming part of the first bore so that the bolt itself is prevented from rotation. In such an embodiment, the connector bore may have the same diameter, i.e., the second bore portion is superfluous, such that a top face of the bolt abuts against a bottom face of the connector opposite the first face of the connector. Providing a second bore portion having a larger diameter than the first bore portion and adapting the second bore portion so that the nut of the bolt snugly fits therein, has the effect that the bolt can be tightened using a single tool, for example a ratchet wrench, once the fastening device is arranged in a desired position. The same applies to the alternative embodiment wherein the head of the bolt is prevented from rotation, as discussed above. In one embodiment is the connector provided with a cavity or aperture for receiving an end portion of the bolt, wherein the cavity is accessible from an outside of the connector. Such a cavity is particularly advantageous when the bolt is connected to a nut.The first face of the fastening device may be is provided with a recess for housing at least a head of the bolt. Such a recess is preferably configured so that the head of the bolt does not protrude above the first face and thereby provides an obstruction for the object. By providing a recess for housing at least a head of the bolt, a downwardly facing portion of the object to be carried by the support, may be flat. The recess may be configured for allowing a tightening tool, for example a socket wrench to tighten the bolt. The fastening device of the support may be provided with at least one protrusion for providing sideway support of the object. The protrusion may for example be a rod-like element configured for mating with a bore extending from a lower face of the object. For an object being for example in the form of a wooden beam, such a rod-like element may provide a suitable sideway support while at the same time a bore is easily arranged in the beam. In an alternative embodiment, the fastening device of the support may be provided with at least one, but preferably at least two bores through the base plane, wherein the at least one bore is configured for receiving a protrusion extending downwardly from a bottom face of the object. The protrusion may for example be a threaded rod so that a nut can abut against the second face of the fastening device.P31219NO00 description and claims However, for a heavy weight and relatively hard object, such as for example a gravestone, it may be advantageous if the object can be connected to the fastening device without processing the object. In one embodiment of the invention, the protrusion is at least one side wall extending upwardly from the base plane and configured for abutting against a side portion of the object. In a preferred embodiment the base plane comprises two mutually spaced sidewalls. The mutually spaced side walls may make it easier to centre the object onto the base plane. In one embodiment, a distance between the two side walls is adjustable. Providing the support with an adjustable distance between the sidewalls allows a greater flexibility with respect to a thickness of the object to be supported. The fastening device may comprise gripping elements pivotably connected to the side walls. The object may easily be fastened to the base plane by inserting the portion of the object into the base plane and the gripping elements may then firmly grip the portion of the element. The fastening device may comprise biasing means. The biasing means may bias the gripping elements towards the portion of the object when the portion of the object is held by fastening device. The object may in this way be secured to the fastening device by simply inserting the portion of the object into the fastening device. The gripping elements, biased towards the portion of the object, may securely hold the object in place in the fastening device. In an embodiment of the support according to the invention, the second end portion of the elongated member has a smaller cross-sectional area than the first end portion. The smaller cross-sectional area of the second end portion may make it easier to insert the elongated member into the ground, without the need for pre-digging a hole. The second end portion of the elongated member may comprise a pointed tip. The pointed tip of the second end portion makes it easier to insert the elongated member into the ground. At least a portion of the elongated member may comprise screw threads. The screwP31219NO00 description and claims threads make it easier to insert the elongated member into the ground as the elongated member may be screwed into the ground. Screwing the elongated member into the ground may be gentler to the elongate member than for example knocking it into the ground. The connector and the elongated member may be made in one piece, or the connector may be releasably secured to the elongated member. An advantage of providing the connector and the elongated member in one piece, is i.a. that the support in one embodiment may comprise only two separate parts. However, an advantage of providing a connector that is releasably secured to the elongated member, is i.a. that the connector can be disconnected from the elongated element if the elongated member is stuck in the ground when it is desired to remove the support. Further, a connector releasably secured to the elongated member allows flexibility with respect to a total length of the elongated member, so that the connector is connected to first end portion of an uppermost elongated element of two or more interconnected elongated members. The elongated members may for example be connected for example in a similar way as interconnected drill pipes in the petroleum industry. Thus, the elongated member of the support according to the invention may in one embodiment comprise to or more interconnected rod elements. Thereby, a length of the elongated member may be adapted to desired needs by means of two or more relatively short members having a length of for example 0,5 m.The connector may be releasably connected to the elongated member for example by means of a threaded pin and box connection. In a second aspect the invention relates to a method for securing an object. The method comprises the steps:- providing a support for an object in accordance with the first aspect of the invention; - inserting the elongated member to a desired depth in a ground in a substantially vertical direction;- adjusting the connection so that the base plane of the fastening device is in a desired position;- fastening the connection with respect to the fastening device by tightening the bolt; andP31219NO00 description and claims - fastening the portion of the object to the support. The method according to the second aspect of the invention may be used to secure an object, such as for example a monument, so that the object is kept upright or in any other desired position, mostly unaffected by frost cycles, heavy wind, or rain. The elongated member, penetrating the ground, may anchor the base plane to the ground. The tiltable and pivotable connection may then be adjusted so that the base plane is in a preferred orientation, most often so that the object is held in a desired upright orientation. The fastening device being pivotable or rotatable and tiltable with respect to the elongated member and the connector may then be fastened so that the base plane is substantially immovable in the preferred orientation. The portion of the object may then be fastened to the support. The object, secured to the ground by the support, may in this way be kept upright with a reduced risk of slanting or tipping over.DRAWINGS AND SPECIFIC DESCRIPTIONIn the following is described an example of a preferred embodiment illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein:Figure 1a shows in perspective, an object in the form of a monument secured to a support according to the invention;Figure 1b shows in perspective, an object in the form of a beam secured to a support according to the invention;Figure 1c shows in perspective, an object in the form of a column secured to a support according to the invention;Figure 2 shows the support of figure 1a, seen from another angle;Figure 3 shows, in a larger scale, the fastening device of the support of figure 2; Figure 4 shows, in a larger scale, a side view of the support of figure 2;Figure 5 shows, in a larger scale and in perspective, a cross section through I-I of the fastening device of figure 4;P31219NO00 description and claims Figure 6 shows, in a larger scale and in perspective, a cross section through H-H of fastening device of figure 4; andFigure 7 shows in a larger scale detail A of the cross section of figure 6.Any positional indications refer to the position shown in the figures. Through the description and the claims, position indications such as “upper” and “lower”, “top” and “bottom”, or “horizontal” and “vertical”, etc., denotes the position the support has in the subsequent figures, which is also a natural or practical functional position of the support. In the figures, same or corresponding elements are indicated by same reference numbers. For clarity reasons, some elements may in some of the figures be without reference numbers. In the figures, the reference number 1 denotes a support for an object 2, wherein the support comprises an elongated member 3 for being at least partly inserted into a ground. The elongated member 3 has a first end portion 31 and a second end portion 32. The support 1 further comprises a fastening device 6 for supporting the object 2. The fastening device 6 comprises a base plane 4 having a first face 41 for facing a downwardly facing portion of the object 2, a second face 45 opposite the first face, and a base plane bore 452 extending between the first face 41 and the second face 45. The fastening device 6 is connected to the first end portion 31 of the elongated member 3 by a connector 5. The connector 5 has a top face 319 for abutting against a mating surface 451 of the second face 45 of the fastening device 6. The top face 319 of the connector 5 and the mating surface 451 of the connector 6 are formed as a spherical segment, such that said mating surface 451 of the fastening device 6 is configured to against the top face 319 of the connector 5. The support further comprises a bolt 71 configured to pass through the base plane bore 452 and into a connector bore 81 so that the fastening device 6 is allowed to pivot or rotate and tilt with respect to the connector 5 when the bolt 71 is untightened and restricted from movement when the bolt is tightened. Thus, when the bolt 71 is untightened, the fastening device 6 is configured for roll, pitch, and yaw with respect to the connector 5, i.e., tilting in an X-Y plane as illustrated byP31219NO00 description and claims arrows X, Y, and rotating around a Z-axis, as illustrated by arrow R in figure 7.In a position of use, the elongated member 3 may typically penetrate a ground to a depth so that at least a first or upper face 41 of the base plane 4 is substantially flush with an adjacent ground. The elongated member 3 is in the embodiment shown, conical and has a pointed tip 35 at the second end portion 32. A length of the elongated member 3 is adapted to the type of soil, and the weight and moment 2 to be carried by the support 1. A typical length of the elongated member 3 may be in the range of 0.5-1.5 meter, and even longer. In another embodiment (not shown), the elongated member 3 is provided with screw threads. In a further embodiment (not shown), the elongated member 3 is formed as an earth anchor. In one embodiment (not shown) is the elongated member 3 made up of two or more threadedly connected members.Referring to figures 3 and 5 showing the fastening device 6 for securing an object shown in figures 1a-1c. The fastening device 6 includes a base plane 4 that comprises an upper face 41 for, in a position of use, facing, and in some embodiments abutting against a downwardly facing portion or underside of the object 2. The fastening device 6 further comprises protrusions, here in the form of two side walls 47 that extend upwardly form the base plane 4. In the embodiment shown, the fastening device 6 comprises four gripping elements 61, two gripping elements 61 protruding inwardly at each side wall 47. The gripping elements 61 are pivotably connected to the side walls 47 at pivot points 61p (see figure 5). The side walls 47 comprises slits 473, and the gripping elements 61 may pivot in and out of these slits 473. The fastening device 6 further comprises four biasing means, here shown as resilient members 65 underneath the pivot point 61p of the gripping elements 61, within the slits 473. When a portion of an object 2 is inserted into the fastening device 6, i.e., between the side walls 47, the gripping elements 61 are rotated downwards within the slits 473. A flat edge 611 of the gripping element 61 abuts against and presses towards a long side 652 of the resilient member 65 and a shoulder 615 of the gripping element 61 abuts against and presses towards a short side 657 of the resilient member 65. The resilient members 65 are biased against the pivotable gripping elements 61 as theyP31219NO00 description and claims press against the resilient members 65. Other biasing means, such as springs (not shown) may also be used.In another embodiment (not shown) the fastening device 6 may comprise one or more protrusions in the form of oblong objects such as rods, screws, or bolts (not shown) to provide sideway support and in some embodiments directly fasten the portion of the object to the base plane 4.In another embodiment (not shown) the fastening device comprises side walls protruding from the base plane, wherein inner sides of the walls are configured to abut against side portions of the object.Figure 4 shows the base plane 4 arranged horizontally, and the elongated member 3 pivoted with respect to the vertical.Figures 6 and 7 show the connection between the connector 5 and the base plane 4 of the fastening device 6 in more details. The connector 5 has a top surface or face 319 that abuts a mating surface 451 of the second face 45 of the fastening device 6. The top face 319 is formed as a spherical segment, here shown as convex, i.e., a top spherical segment. For mating with the top face 319 of the connector 5, the surface 451 of the second face 45 of the base plane 4 is also formed as a spherical segment, here shown as concave. In an alternative embodiment (not shown) the connection between the connector 5 and the base plane 4 of the fastening device 6 may be so that the top face 319 of the connector 5 is concave, while the mating surface 415 of the second face 45 of the fastening device is convex. An area of the concave spherical segment forming the surface 451 of the second face 45. is in the embodiment shown larger than an area of the spherical segment forming the top face 319 of the connector 5.A first or upper face 41 of the base plane 4 is provided with a recess 413. The recess 413 is in the embodiment shown configured for housing the head of the bolt 71, and also a tool for tightening the bolt 71 when the fastening device 6 has been adjusted into aP31219NO00 description and claims desired position, typically horizontal in the X-Y plane. The recess 413 is in the embodiment shown positioned centrally of the base plane 4.The base plane 4 is further provided with a base plane bore 452 passing through the concave portion 451 in the recess 413. The base plane bore 452, the concave portion 451 and the recess 413 are in the embodiment shown, concentric. In the embodiment shown, the connector 5 is provided with an aperture or cavity 315 defined by a lower portion forming part of, i.e., being integral with a top-end of the elongated member 3, an upper portion comprising the top face 319 of the connector, and two opposing side walls 316 (one shown in fig.6) extending between the lower portion and the upper portion. The cavity 315 allows access for connecting a nut 72 to a shaft of the bolt 71, as discussed below. As best seen in figure 7, the connector bore 81 through of the connector 5 is a stepped bore 81 that comprises a first bore portion 811 extending from the convex top face 319, and a second bore portion 812 opposite the first bore portion, i.e., extending towards the second end portion 32 of the elongated member 3. The second bore portion 812 has a larger diameter than the first bore portion 811.A bolt 71 is provided through the base plane bore 452 and the stepped connector bore 81; 811, 812. There is a clearance between a shaft of the bolt 71 and a wall of the base plane bore 452 so that the base plane 4, and thereby the fastening device 6, can move with respect to the bolt 71 and the connector 5 of the elongate member 3. A movement of the fastening device 6 in an X-Y direction, and thus a maximum tilting of the base plane 4 in the X-Y plane depends on a size of the clearance between the shaft of the bolt 71 and the wall of the base plane bore 452. A disk 73 prevents the bolt 71 from passing through the base plane bore 452. Although not shown in the figures, it is understood that the disk 73 has a larger diameter than the base plane bore 452 to prevent the bolt 71 from passing through the base plane bore 452. The first bore portion 811 of the stepped connector bore 81 has a diameter that is complementary to the diameter of the bolt 71. The second bore portion 812 has a hexagonal shape (not shown) and accommodates a nut 72 that fits snugly within the second bore portion 812. The aperture 315 of the connector 5 allows anP31219NO00 description and claims operator to reach the nut 72 and stem of the bolt 71 at the second bore portion 812 (see also figure 4).The tiltable and pivotable connection between the connector 5 and the fastening device 6 makes it possible to adjust the angle between the base plane 4 of the fastening device 6 and the elongated member 3. When adjusting the tiltable connection, the bolt 71 sits loosely in the first bore 452 so that the fastening device with its base plane 4 can be pivoted and tilted to a preferred orientation. The fastening device 6 may also be rotated or pivoted with respect to the connector 5 as indicated by arrow R in figure 7, to a preferred orientation. The bolt 71 can then be tightened so that the fastening device 6 is fixed in the preferred orientation. When tightened, the bolt 71 is positioned within the recess 413 so that a top of the head of the bolt 71 is either lower than the upper or first face 41 of the base plane 4, or flush with the first face 41.Figure 1a shows an object 2, here shown as a gravestone, wherein a lower side of the gravestone is connected to the fastening device 6 of the support 1. In Figures 1b and 1c, a beam 2 and a column 2, respectively, is connected to the fastening device 6 of the support.A person skilled in the art will understand that the figures are just principal drawings. The relative proportions of individual elements may also be distorted. It should be noted that the above-mentioned embodiments illustrate rather than limit the invention, and that those skilled in the art will be able to design many alternative embodiments without departing from the scope of the appended claims. In the claims, any reference signs placed between parentheses shall not be construed as limiting the claim. Use of the verb “comprise” and its conjugations does not exclude the presence of elements or steps other than those stated in a claim. The article “a” or “an” preceding an element does not exclude the presence of a plurality of such elements. The mere fact that certain measures are recited in mutually different dependent claims does not indicate that a combination of these measures cannot be used to advantage.P31219NO00 description and claims
