REPARING DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REPAIRING A HOLE IN A NET OF A NET PEN ABOVE OR IN WATERTECHNICAL FIELDThe present disclosure relates generally to a repairing device, a system and a method. More particularly the present disclosure relates to repairing a hole in a net of a net pen above or in water.BACKGROUNDNet pens are commonly utilized to contain and cultivate aquatic organisms in open water environments. Over time, these nets may develop holes due to various factors such as mechanical stress, interaction with marine life, or environmental conditions. The presence of holes in net pens may compromise containment, lead to stock losses, and potentially impact the surrounding environment. Addressing holes in net pens is therefore essential for maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring the integrity of aquaculture systems.Existing approaches to repairing holes in net pens may involve manual intervention, the use of various patching materials, or temporary solutions. Such methods may present challenges related to durability, reliability, ease of application, and the ability to perform repairs efficiently both above and below the waterline. In some cases, repairs may be time-consuming, require specialized skills, or may not restore the original strength and functionality of the net.It is therefore a need to provide improved solutions for repairing holes in net pens, in order to overcome the above limitations at least in part.SUMMARYAn objective of the disclosure herein is therefore to obviate at least one of the above disadvantages and to improve repairing of a hole in a net of a net pen above or in water. According to a first aspect, the objective is achieved by a repairing device for repairing a hole in a net of a net pen above or in water. The repairing device comprises a movable or stationary counterhold arranged to pass through the net from a direction of patch application. The counterhold being arranged to provide support when a patch is applied to the hole. Repairing a hole in a net of a net pen above or in water may be understood as restoring the structural integrity of a mesh enclosure used in aquaculture, by closing or sealing a damaged area, regardless of whether the repair takes place at the water surface or underwater. A net pen may be understood as an enclosure formed by nets, typically used in aquaculture to confine and cultivate fish or other aquatic organisms within a defined volume of water.A net may be understood as a mesh-like structure formed from interconnected strands or filaments, for example made from synthetic or natural fibers, and used to contain or restrain fish or other aquatic organisms. A hole may be constituted by one or more damaged meshes in the net. This means that a hole may result from a single broken mesh or from several adjacent or non-adjacent meshes that are damaged, torn, or separated, thereby forming an opening in the net structure. Above or in water may be understood as referring to the location of the net pen or the repair operation, indicating that the net pen may be positioned at or near the water’s surface, i.e. above water, or submerged below the water’s surface, i.e. in water. A hole in a net of a net pen is repaired above or in water by applying a patch provided with adhesive to the hole using a repairing device comprising a movable or stationary counterhold which passes through the net from a direction of patch application to provide support, thereby repairing the hole in the net. The counterhold may be arranged to distribute adhesive on a patch when a patch is applied to the hole, for example when the counterhold is a movable counterhold. The hole in the net of the net pen is repaired above or in water using a system that comprises a repairing device and a patch 110, which is illustrated in FIGs.1-9. FIGs.1-7 illustrate the system seen from the side and FIGs.8-9 illustrate the system seen from the top, i.e. facing the first surface of the support plate. The repairing device comprises a movable or stationary counterhold arranged to pass through the net from a direction of patch application. A movable counterhold refers to a counterhold that is configured to be repositioned, rotated, expanded, contracted, pivoted, or otherwise moved relative to the support plate 101 and patch 110, either before, during, or after placement against the net, in order to facilitate installation, enhance adhesive distribution, or improve retention of the patch 110 on the net. A stationary counterhold refers to a counterhold that remains fixed in position relative to the support plate 101 and patch 110 during the repair process, and is not intended to be repositioned, rotated, or otherwise moved once placed against the net. The counterhold is arranged to provide support when the patch 110 is applied to the hole. The counterhold may be arranged to distribute adhesive onto the patch 110, at different time instances such as e.g. after the patch 110 has been applied to the repairing device, after the patch 110 has been applied to the net etc. A repairing device may be understood as an apparatus arranged to facilitate the restoration of structural integrity in nets used to contain aquatic organisms, such as those found in aquaculture net pens. A counterhold may be understood as a component that is positioned on the opposite side of the net relative to the patch application and serves to mechanically support the net structure during a repair process. One advantage of this arrangement is that the counterhold, whether movable or stationary, may pass through the net to an optimal position for supporting the net during patch application, which helps maintain proper alignment and contact between the patch 110 and the net. This arrangement allows the counterhold to provide localized backing support to the area surrounding the hole, thereby improving the effectiveness of adhesive distribution and patch bonding. By enabling the counterhold to distribute adhesive during application of the patch 110, one advantage is that the adhesive may be more evenly and thoroughly applied to the interface between the patch 110 and the net, resulting in a stronger and more reliable repair. This may lead to enhanced durability of the repaired area and may reduce the need for repeated interventions, as well as minimizing the risk of incomplete bonding or adhesive waste. The adhesive may be applied and distributed on the patch 110 using the counterhold or using any other suitable device(s) for applying and distributing the adhesive. The repairing device comprises a support plate 101 having a first surface arranged for arrangement of a patch 110 thereon. The support plate 101 may be referred to as a base plate, a mounting plate, an application plate, a support disc, a support platform, just to mention some examples. A support plate 101 may be understood as a generally flat and rigid or semi-rigid component that provides a stable surface for arranging and supporting the patch 101 during the repair of a hole in a net. The support plate 101 is typically positioned on one side of the net, with its surface configured to accommodate the patch and facilitate its application to the damaged area. The support plate may be circular in shape, e.g. round or oval, with the size and contour selected to correspond with the area of the net being repaired. The support plate has a first surface and a second surface which are opposite of each other. The first surface is arranged to face the net.The repairing device comprises a main axle 103 extending through an axis of the support plate 101, e.g. a central axis. A main axle 103 may be understood as an elongated shaft or rod that is centrally positioned relative to the support plate and serves as a structural and rotational axis for components attached to it. One advantage of this arrangement is that the main axle 103 enables precise guidance and alignment, facilitating controlled movement and rotation that may improve the accuracy and consistency of the repair operation. The main axle 103 comprises a first end and a second end which are opposite of each other. The first end is the end of the main axle that is arranged, during use, to be positioned adjacent to or within the area of the net to be repaired and typically supports or connects to components such as the counterhold. The second end is the opposite end of the main axle 103, which may remain accessible for manipulation, engagement, or actuation, for example, by a user or a remotely operated vehicle (ROV), to cause rotation or movement of the main axle 103 and associated components. The repairing device may comprise at least one adhesive outlet 101, such as a nozzle. The adhesive outlet 105 may be arranged either through the support plate 101 or on the spatula 107, providing flexible options for delivering adhesive during the repair process. When the adhesive outlet 105 is arranged through the support plate 101, it is configured to receive adhesive from an adhesive source that is connected to a second surface of the support plate 101, the second surface being opposite to the first surface where the patch 110 is arranged. This allows adhesive to be injected directly through the support plate 101 and onto the patch 110, ensuring controlled and targeted application.Alternatively, the adhesive outlet 105 may be arranged on the spatula 107. In this case, the spatula 107 may comprise an internal channel that is arranged to be connected to the adhesive source. This configuration allows adhesive to be injected through the spatula 107 itself and onto the patch 110, potentially providing even more precise delivery of adhesive directly to the repair site. The ability to position the adhesive outlet 105 either on the support plate 101 and/or on the spatula 1017 offers versatility in the design and operation of the repairing device, enabling adaptation to different repair scenarios and preferences. These arrangements facilitate efficient adhesive application, improve the bonding process, and contribute to the overall reliability and effectiveness of net repair operations. When arranged on the spatula 107, the adhesive outlet 105 may be arranged at or near the surface of the spatula 107 that faces the patch 110 when the spatula 107 is in its operational position. This location allows adhesive injected through the internal channel of the spatula 107 to be delivered directly onto the patch and the net to the area requiring repair. The adhesive outlet 105 may be positioned centrally, along the edge, or at multiple points on the spatula surface, depending on the desired distribution pattern of adhesive. This arrangement ensures efficient and targeted application of adhesive, supporting uniform bonding between the patch 110 and the net. An adhesive outlet 105 may be understood as a nozzle, a conduit or outlet designed to direct the flow of adhesive from its source to the area where it is needed. The adhesive outlet 105 serves as the interface between the adhesive source and the patch 110 or net, ensuring that the adhesive is delivered accurately and efficiently to the intended location. Its design may include features such as a tapered tip, multiple openings, or channels to control the pattern and amount of adhesive dispensed. The placement and configuration of the adhesive outlet 105 may be adapted to optimize adhesive distribution, minimize waste, and facilitate precise application during the repair process. An adhesive source may be understood as a reservoir, cartridge or applicator comprising the adhesive. The adhesive source may be refillable or single-use and is connected to the adhesive outlet 105 to supply adhesive when required. It may be activated manually, mechanically, or automatically, and is selected to provide an adequate amount and type of adhesive for the intended repair operation. One advantage of this arrangement is that adhesive may be delivered directly and efficiently to the area where the patch 110 interfaces with the net, potentially reducing waste and ensuring thorough coverage. The configuration of the adhesive outlet 105 through the support plate 101 allows for the application of adhesive from the side opposite the patch 110, which may improve the control and precision of adhesive placement. The repairing device may comprise n number of adhesive outlets 105, where n is a positive integer. For example, the repairing device may comprise two adhesive outlets 105, each adhesive outlet 105 being arranged on the support plate 101 and on opposite sides of the main axle 103, i.e. the main axle 103 may be located between the two adhesive outlets 105.As mentioned above, the repairing device comprises a movable or stationary counterhold. The counterhold may be comprised in, may be constituted by or may comprise at least one rotatable spatula 107 arranged at a first end of the main axle 103. The spatula 107 is connected to the main axle 103 such that rotation of the main axle 103 causes rotation of the spatula 107 around the axis. The spatula 107 is comprised in or constitutes the counterhold. There may be m number of spatulas 107, where m is a positive integer. The spatula 107 is arranged to function both as the counterhold—providing mechanical support to the net and patch 110 from the side opposite the support plate 101 during repair—and as the element that distributes the adhesive onto the patch 110 when rotated or moved. It is shaped or profiled to facilitate even spreading and pressing of adhesive, ensuring effective bonding between the patch and the net. The connection of the spatula 107 to the main axle 103 enables synchronized movement and rotation, which may facilitate the even distribution of adhesive and maintain the desired alignment of components. The at least one rotatable spatula 107 is movable between a first position in which it is substantially aligned with the main axle 103 to facilitate insertion of the at least one rotatable spatula 107 and a part of the main axle 103 through the hole in the net, and a second position in which the at least one rotatable spatula 107 is pivoted relative to the main axle 103. One advantage of this arrangement is that the spatula 107 may be easily introduced into and withdrawn from the net through the hole, while being repositioned to provide optimal support and adhesive distribution during repair. This may simplify the repair process, minimize the risk of further damage to the net, and enable efficient application in both above-water and underwater conditions. The at least one rotatable spatula 107, when in the second position, is positioned substantially parallel to the first surface of the support plate 101 and arranged such that, upon rotation of the main axle 103, the at least one rotatable spatula 107 is arranged to distribute adhesive received through the adhesive outlet 105 onto the patch 110. One advantage of this arrangement is that the spatula 107 may ensure even and thorough spreading of adhesive across the patch 110 and the net, improving bond quality and patch retention. The parallel positioning of the spatula 107 relative to the support plate 101 enhances contact with the patch 110 and contributes to the creation of a consistent adhesive layer, thereby supporting a robust and lasting repair. The first position is illustrated in FIGs.1, 3, 5 and 8, and the second position is illustrated in FIGs.2, 4, 6, 7 and 9.A patch 110 may be understood as a piece of material designed to cover and seal the hole in the net. The patch 110 may be referred to as a first patch. The patch 110 may have any suitable shape, for example round or oval, or another suitable form to ensure adequate overlap with the undamaged portions of the net surrounding the hole. The shape of patch 110 may substantially correspond to the shape of the support plate 101, for example both the patch 110 and the support plate 101 may be circularly shaped. When the repairing device comprises two spatulas 107, the patch 110 may be shaped as a slot. When the repairing device comprises three spatulas 107, the patch 110 may have a triangle shape with rounded corners. When the repairing device comprises four spatulas 107, the patch 110 may have a squared shape with rounded corners, etc. A patch 110 for a stationary counterhold may have any two-dimensional shape. The size of the patch 110 is selected so that it is larger than the hole to be repaired, providing sufficient margin for secure attachment and effective sealing; it may vary depending on the extent of damage but generally extends beyond the perimeter of the hole by a predetermined amount. The size of the patch 110 may be such that it at least partly covers the support plate 101. For example, as seen in FIGs.3, 4, 8 and 9, the patch 110 may have a diameter that is smaller than the diameter of the support plate 101. However, the patch 110 may have any suitable size which is smaller, equal to or larger than the support plate 101.The patch 110 may be made of any suitable material that is compatible with the net, the adhesive and the intended environment. The patch 100 may for example be made of fiberreinforced elastomer, such as PVC tarp, textile or elastomer, e.g. flexible plastic. The use of paper as the patch material allows for easy handling, strong adhesion with glue, and effective performance in the context of net pen repair. The patch 110 may be made of a water-soluble material which dissolves in water. The patch 110 may be made of a water-soluble material, when provided the adhesive, is sufficiently strong to provide a permanent repair of the hole in the net.The patch 110 may be equipped with an RFID-tag or QR-code for traceability, for example providing information indicating when the repair was commissioned, and by whom etc.The patch 110 may comprise a first opening through which the main axle 103 is inserted. The first opening may be located in the center of the patch 110. The patch 110 may comprise at least one second opening through which at least a part of a holding element 105 passes, e.g. the collar part of the holding element. This will be described in more detail below. The first and second openings may not larger than the mask openings in the net. The outer perimeter of the patch 110 may be sufficiently large to create a bond between the intact areas of the net and the patch 110. For example, the diameter of the first and second openings may be 17mm and the outer diameter of the patch 110 may be 100mm.The adhesive may be applied to the patch 110 in one, two, or more steps, depending on the repair requirements and environmental conditions. When applied in a single step, all necessary adhesives may be applied either before the repairing device has passed through the net or after insertion. If the adhesive is applied before the repairing device passes through the net, this may occur while the repairing device and patch 110 are positioned above water or while they are already in water. If the adhesive is applied after the repairing device has passed through the net, the application may take place with the repairing device and patch 110 in their final position, typically in water. When the adhesive is applied in two or more steps, a first portion of adhesive may be applied at one time instance and a second portion at another. For example, a first portion of adhesive may be applied to the patch 110 before the repairing device passes through the net, ensuring initial adhesion and facilitating handling. A second portion may then be applied after the repairing device has passed through the net, allowing for additional bonding and improved strength of the repair once the patch is in its final position. Other possible examples include sequential application of different adhesive types for layered bonding, repeated adhesive application for large or complex holes, or staged curing to accommodate environmental factors such as temperature or water flow. This flexible approach allows the repair process to be adapted to various operational scenarios, optimizes adhesive use, and enhances the reliability and durability of the repair. The patch 110 may be pre-primed with adhesive, e.g. the first portion of adhesive described above. The pre-priming may be performed prior to arrangement of the patch110 on the support plate 101 or after arrangement of the patch 110 on the support plate 101. The patch 110 may be per-primed with only a part of the total amount of adhesive to be applied or pre-primed with all adhesives to be applied. A water dissolvable film may be arranged on the pre-primed adhesive to protect the adhesive prior to use. After the patch 110 has been position at the hole in the net, additional adhesive may or may not beapplied to the patch 110.An adhesive may be understood as a bonding agent that secures the patch 110 to the net. The adhesive is arranged to cure under water, that is, it undergoes a curing or setting process after being exposed to water for a certain period of time. The water may or may not be the curing catalyst. The adhesive may for example be a two-component adhesive, a hot-melt glue, just to mention some examples. This property enables the adhesive to form a strong and durable bond between the patch 110 and the net, even in underwater or wet conditions typically encountered in net pen repairs. The adhesive may be for example a viscous adhesive, for example a glue. The repairing device may comprise at least one holding element 105 arranged to temporarily retain the patch 110 on the support plate 101 prior to application of the adhesive by means of a collar. A holding element 105 may be understood as a structural or mechanical component that serves to keep the patch 110 in a predetermined position on the support plate 101 prior to or during the adhesive application process. A collar may be understood as an annular or ringshaped structure that surrounds or at least partially encircles a portion of the patch 110 or its attachment zone, exerting a retaining force sufficient to hold the patch 110 in place without permanent fixation. The patch 110 is intended to be threaded over the collar, which means that the patch 110 may be provided with an opening sized and shaped to allow the collar to pass through it. This opening enables the patch 110 to be positioned securely around the collar, ensuring that it remains properly aligned and retained on the support plate 110 until the adhesive cures. The presence of the opening in the patch facilitates easy and precise placement over the collar and supports reliable retention during the repair process. One advantage of this arrangement is that the collar enables reliable, temporary retention of the patch 110 on the support plate 101, which may facilitate accurate positioning and alignment prior to or during the adhesive application process. By ensuring that the patch 110 remains stationary, the holding element 105 by means of a collar may help prevent displacement or misalignment that could compromise the quality of the repair. This arrangement may also simplify handling and assembly, especially in conditions where precision is required, and may contribute to a more efficient and repeatable repair procedure. The at least one holding element 105 may be comprised in, is constituted by or comprises the at least one adhesive outlet 105. The collar may surround the end of the adhesive outlet 105 through which the adhesive is outputted. A holding element 115 may be understood as a component configured to temporarily retain the patch 110 on the support plate 101, while an adhesive outlet 105 may be understood as a structure arranged to receive and direct adhesive onto the patch 110 or net. One advantage of this arrangement is that the adhesive outlet 105 serves a dual function, both enabling the delivery of adhesive and providing temporary retention of the patch 110 during the repair process. This arrangement may reduce the number of distinct components required for the system, potentially simplifying assembly and minimizing manufacturing complexity. By integrating the holding and adhesive delivery functions, the adhesive outlet 105 may ensure that the patch 110 remains accurately positioned during the application of adhesive, supporting precise alignment and thereby contributing to the effectiveness and reliability of the repair. The repairing device may comprise a support member 115 which is arranged between the first end of the main axle 103 and the at least one rotatable spatula 107. The support member 115 is arranged to provide a pivot point for the pivoting of the at least one rotatable spatula 107. The support member 115 may be arranged to rotate together with the main axle 103. A support member 115 may be understood as a structural component that is interposed between the main axle 103, which serves as a central shaft for transmitting rotational motion, and the rotatable spatula 107, which acts to distribute adhesive and provide counterhold support during repair. One advantage of this arrangement is that the support member 115 establishes a defined pivot point for the spatula, allowing controlled and repeatable pivoting movement relative to the main axle 103. By rotating together with the main axle 103, the support member 115 ensures synchronized movement of the spatula 107 during both the insertion and adhesive distribution phases, which may contribute to precise operation and consistent repair quality. This arrangement may facilitate efficient force transfer, accurate alignment of moving parts, and reliable functioning of the spatula as it transitions between different operational positions. The repairing device may comprise a guide cylinder 118. The support member 115 may be arranged to rotate with the main axle 103 while following a groove in the guide cylinder 118. The guide cylinder 118 may be referred to as a guide tube. A guide cylinder 118 may be understood as a cylindrical structure configured to provide a defined path or guide for the movement of associated components, while a groove in the guide cylinder 118 may be understood as a channel or recess that directs and constrains the movement of the support member 115. One advantage of this arrangement is that the guide cylinder 118, in combination with the groove, enables controlled and predictable movement of the support member 115 as it rotates with the main axle 103. By ensuring that the support member 115 follows a defined path, this arrangement may improve the accuracy and repeatability of the spatula's pivoting and rotational actions, supporting precise adhesive distribution and patch application. This may also facilitate smooth operation and reduce the likelihood of misalignment or mechanical interference during use.The repairing device may comprise an adjustment element arranged to adjust a distance between the at least one rotatable spatula 107 and the first surface of the support plate 101 when the at least one rotatable spatula 107 is in the second position. The distance may be referred to as an offset. The distance between the spatula 107 and the support plate 101 may determine the adhesive thickness and is adjustable by means of a threaded shaft. By rotating the threaded shaft, the distance may be increased or decreased to obtain the desired adhesive layer. An adjustment element may be understood as a component or mechanism capable of varying the distance between the spatula 107 and the first surface of the support plate 101, thereby allowing selection or fine tuning of the gap between these elements according to the requirements of the repair. One advantage of this arrangement is that it allows for optimal positioning of the spatula 107 relative to the support plate 101 and the patch 110, which may be important for accommodating different net thicknesses, patch materials, or adhesive application techniques. By enabling precise adjustment of the distance, this arrangement may help achieve uniform adhesive distribution, improve bonding between the patch 110 and the net, and reduce the risk of excessive compression or inadequate contact during the repair process. This may contribute to a stronger, more consistent, and reliable repair outcome. The at least one rotatable spatula 107 may be adjustable between a first distance suitable for distributing adhesive onto the patch 110 and a second distance suitable for providing the adhesive through the net and thereby securing the patch 110 to the net. The first distance is greater than the second distance. FIG.6 illustrates the first distance and FIG.7 illustrates the second distance. As seen in FIG.7, the spatula 107 is located closer to the support plate 101 than in FIG.6. A distance in this context may be understood as the gap between the spatula 107 and the first surface of the support plate 101. One advantage of this arrangement is that the spatula 107 may be positioned at an optimal height above the patch 110 for uniform and efficient adhesive distribution, then brought closer to the patch 110 and net to press the elements together and ensure effective bonding. By allowing adjustment between these two distances, this arrangement offers flexibility for different stages of the repair process and for various net and patch configurations. This may result in more precise control over adhesive application, improved strength of the repaired area, and reduced likelihood of adhesive waste or uneven bonding. The at least one rotatable spatula 107 may have a blade profile comprising a bent or laterally curved portion as seen in a direction perpendicular to the first surface of the support plate 101. A blade profile may be understood as the outline or contour of the spatula’s operative edge or face, while a bent or laterally curved portion refers to a deviation from a straight line, either by an angular bend or an arc, oriented across the width of the spatula. One advantage of this arrangement is that the bent or laterally curved profile may facilitate more precise and even distribution of adhesive across the patch and the net. By shaping the spatula 107 in this manner, it becomes possible to target the application of adhesive to specific regions or to cover a wider area in a single movement, enhancing the efficiency and consistency of the repair process. This arrangement may also contribute to improved contact between the patch, the net, and the adhesive, potentially resulting in a more secure and durable bond. The at least one rotatable spatula 107 may have a tilted profile tilted towards the first surface of the support plate 101 as seen in in a direction perpendicular to the first surface of the support plate 101. The tilted profile deposits adhesive thoroughly onto the net side of the area being repaired. The lowered areas of the spatula 107, towards main axle and outer edge, keep net and patch 110 together. By tilting it towards the patch 110 the adhesive is forced down on the net surface and minimize adhesive build-up on the spatula 107. A tilted profile may be understood as a configuration in which the spatula 107 is inclined or slanted relative to a reference plane, in this case, towards the support plate 101, when viewed along an axis perpendicular to the support plate’s first surface. One advantage of this arrangement is that the inclination of the spatula 107 may promote effective engagement with the patch 110 and the net during adhesive application, allowing for more controlled pressure and improved adhesive spreading. This may result in a more uniform bond between the patch 110 and the net, reduce the likelihood of air pockets or incomplete adhesion, and contribute to a more reliable and durable repair outcome. The at least one rotatable spatula 107 may have a raised center portion arranged to provide a continuous adhesive layer on the opposite side of the net from the patch plate 101. The at least one rotatable spatula 107 may have at least one non-raised side portion on at least one side of the raised center portion. The at least one rotatable spatula 107 may have two non-raised side portions, one on each side of the raised center portion. The raised center portion is arranged to create a continuous layer of adhesive over the outer net surface, which ensures ideal adhesion. The non-raised side portions towards the spatula center and outer edge press the net towards the first surface of the support plate 101, thereby creating an area between the raised section of the spatula 107 and the net, in which adhesive is distributed to create a continuous layer. The raised center portion and the at least one non-raised side portion faces the support plate 101. This may be also described as follows: The at least one rotatable spatula 107 comprises a longitudinally extending upper portion; a first downward portion at a first longitudinal end of the upper portion; a second downward portion at an opposite second longitudinal end of the upper portion; and an air gap extending longitudinally between the first and second downward portions beneath the upper portion. The downward direction is in the direction pointing towards the support plate 101.The at least one rotatable spatula 107 may have a center portion made of a material that is softer than the material of which the at least one side portion. The at least one rotatable spatula 107 may be a longitudinally extending member having an upper surface and a lower surface and having opposite first and second longitudinal ends. The longitudinally extending member extends longitudinally in parallel with the first side of the support plate 101. This longitudinally extending member is free of downwardly extending end portions, as contrary to the alternative described above. The repairing device may be arranged to be operated by a ROV. The second end of the main axle 103 may be arranged to be gripped or engaged by the ROV. A ROV may be understood as an underwater robot or mechanical device that is controlled from a distance, typically used for performing tasks in environments that are difficult or hazardous for direct human intervention. One advantage of this arrangement is that the repairing device may be deployed and manipulated in underwater or otherwisechallenging environments without the need for divers or direct human handling. This may increase safety, reduce operational costs, and enable repairs to be carried out at greater depths or in adverse conditions, thereby improving the efficiency and reliability of net pen maintenance and repair operations. For the stationary counterhold, adhesive may be applied to the patch 110 prior to insertion of the repairing device through the hole in the net. The adhesive may be distributed over the patch surface using any suitable device for distributing adhesive, such as a different spatula, brush, or applicator, to ensure even coverage. The adhesive may be applied and distributed to the patch 110 prior to insertion of the repairing device through the net, and this step may be performed either above water or in water. Once the patch 110 has been prepared with adhesive, the repairing device, comprising the stationary counterhold, is inserted through the net and positioned so that the patch 110 is pressed firmly against the net. The stationary counterhold provides support during the bonding process, maintaining the patch in its intended position while the adhesive cures. The stationary counterhold may comprise an expansion element configured for insertion through the net at the location of the hole. The expansion element is arranged to protrude from the support plate 101 and is sized to pass through the net openings. Once inserted, the expansion element is operable to expand in a direction transverse to its length, thereby exerting pressure toward the patch and pressing the patch 110 with the adhesive against the net. The expansion element may include foldable portions that are actuated to radially expand and form an enlarged contact area on the far side of the net, thereby supporting the patch 110 during adhesive curing. The expansion element may also include a pulling element that facilitates expansion and may optionally be removed after installation. The expanded shape and configuration of the expansion element serve to maintain the patch 110 in its intended position, ensuring reliable bonding between the patch 110 and the net. The expansion element may include features such as a flexible cap for distributing pressure and minimizing damage to the net or patch 110.The adhesive may be applied to the patch 110 before the patch and expansion element are brought to the hole in the net and may be distributed over the patch surface using any suitable device. Once the patch 110 with adhesive is pressed against the net and supported by the expanded expansion element, the adhesive bonds the patch 110 to the net and cures to form a durable repair. As mentioned above, the hole in the net of the net pen is repaired above or in water using a system that comprises a repairing device and a patch 110. The system may comprise a stencil 113 arrangeable between the support plate 101 and the patch 110. The stencil 113 may be referred to as a second patch 113. The stencil 113 may be adapted to prevent adhesive from contaminating the first surface of support plate 101. The stencil 113 may cover a part of the first surface of the support plate 101 that is greater than what is covered by the patch 110. The stencil 113 may have a shape substantially corresponding to the shape of the patch 110 and the support plate 101. The stencil 113 may have a size that is larger than the patch size and smaller or equal to the size of the first surface of the support plate 101. The stencil 113 may be made of a biodegradable material. A stencil 113 may be understood as a sheet or template that acts as a barrier or mask, selectively exposing certain areas while protecting others during adhesive application. One advantage of this arrangement is that the stencil 113 may effectively shield portions of the support plate 101 from unintended adhesive contact, helping to maintain the cleanliness and reusability of the support plate. By covering an area larger than the patch 110, the stencil ensures that any excess adhesive is intercepted before reaching the support plate 101, which may lead to more precise and controlled application of adhesive, reduce material waste, and simplify post-repair cleanup. This arrangement may contribute to improved operational efficiency, reduced maintenance requirements, and enhanced reliability of the repair process. The system may comprise an adhesive source arranged to insert adhesive through the at least one adhesive outlet 105. An adhesive source may be understood as a reservoir, cartridge, or other supply mechanism containing adhesives and configured to deliver or dispense the adhesive as needed. One advantage of this arrangement is that the adhesive source enables controlled and direct delivery of adhesive through the adhesive outlet 105 to the area where the patch 110 interfaces with the net. This may improve the efficiency and precision of adhesive application, reduce waste, and help ensure that the patch 110 is securely bonded to the net. By integrating the adhesive source with the system, this arrangement may facilitate a streamlined repair process and contribute to consistent, high-quality repair results.FIG.10 is a flow chart illustrating the method for repairing a hole in a net of a net pen above or in water. The patch 110 provided with adhesive is applied to the hole using a repairing device comprising a movable or stationary counterhold which passes through the net from a direction of patch application to provide support, thereby repairing the hole in the net. The counterhold may be arranged to distribute adhesive on a patch when a patch is applied to the hole, for example when the counterhold is a movable counterhold. Each step contributes to precise positioning, secure application, resulting in a reliable and durable repair. This may enhance the efficiency and consistency of maintenance operations for net pens in aquaculture environments. The method comprises at least one of the following steps, which steps may be performed in any suitable order than described below:Step 1001A stencil 113 may be arranged on the first surface of the support plate 101. The stencil 113 may be arranged between the first surface of the support plate 101 and the patch 110. The stencil 113 may be arranged to prevent adhesive from contaminating the first surface of the support plate 101. The stencil 113 may covering a part of the first surface of the support plate 101 that is greater than what is covered by the patch 110.A stencil 113 may be understood as a barrier or template positioned between the support plate 101 and the patch 110 to selectively shield certain areas from adhesive during the repair process. One advantage of this arrangement is that the stencil 113 effectively protects the support plate 101 from unintended adhesive contact, which may facilitate easier cleaning, maintain the functionality and reusability of the support plate, and ensure a more controlled and precise application of adhesive to the patch and net interface. This may contribute to a more efficient, reliable, and clean repair process.Step 1002The patch 110 may be arranged onto the first surface of the support plate 101.Arranging the patch 110 onto the first surface of the support plate 101 may be understood as positioning the patch 110 in preparation for the repair process.Step 1001 may be performed before step 1002 or at the same time as step 1002 is performed.Steps 1001 and 1002 may be performed above water or in water. For example, step 1001 may be performed above water and step 1002 may be performed in water, or both steps 1001 and 1002 may be performed above water, or both steps 1001 and 1002 may be performed in water.Step 1003The adhesive may be applied onto the patch 110. Applying adhesive onto the patch 110 may be referred to as performing adhesive priming. The adhesive may be applied onto the patch 110 before and/or after arranging the patch 110 onto the first surface of the support plate 101.Applying the adhesive onto the patch 110 may be understood as delivering adhesive to the patch 110 at substantially the correct location. The adhesive may be applied to the patch 110 before or after the patch 110 is arranged on the support plate 101, or both before and after the patch 110 is arranged on the support plage 101.The adhesive may be applied in one, two or more steps:● One adhesive application step:o All adhesive may be applied in one step.o When applied in a single step, all necessary adhesives may be applied either before the repairing device has passed through the net or after insertion. If the adhesive is applied before the repairing device passes through the net, this may occur while the repairing device and patch 110 are positioned above water, e.g. when the patch 110 is dry, or while they are already in water. If the adhesive is applied after the repairing device has passed through the net, the application takes place with the repairing device and patch 110 in their final position, typically in water.● Two adhesive application steps:o For example, a pre-priming step and a main application step.o When the adhesive is applied in two or more steps, a first portion of adhesive may be applied at one time instance and a second portion at another. If the pre-priming step takes place, then a water dissolvable film may be applied on top of the pre-primed adhesive layer. If the adhesive is applied above water, a water dissolvable film may be applied on top of the adhesive layer.Step 1003 may be performed before or after step 1004, i.e. before or after the repairing device has been inserted through the hole in the net.A part of step 1003 may be performed before step 1004, e.g. the pre-priming, and the main application step may be performed after step 1004.Step 1004A part of the repairing device may be inserted through the hole in the net in a direction of patch application such that the counterhold and a part of the main axle 103 is located on one side of the net and the support plate 101 with the patch 110 is located on another side of the net. Inserting a part of the repairing device through the hole in the net in a direction of patch application may be understood as maneuvering the relevant components so that the spatula 107 and a portion of the main axle 103 are on one side of the net while the support plate 101 and the patch 110 are on the opposite side. The spatula 107 may be in the first position, i.e. pivoted upwards, in order to penetrate the net during application. This motion is controlled by pulling or pushing the main axle in its longitudinal direction. The support member 115, serving as the spatula’s pivot, rotates together with the main axle 103 while following the groove in the main axle guide cylinder.Step 1004 may be performed before or after step 1003, i.e. before or after at least a part of the adhesive has been applied to the patch 110.Step 1005The at least one spatula 107 may be pivoted from the first position to the second position. Inn other words, with the repairing device positioned relative to the net, the spatula 107 pivots downward until it becomes substantially parallel with the support plate 101.Pivoting the spatula 107 from the first position to the second position may be understood as moving the spatula 107 from an aligned configuration to a configuration suitable for supporting the net and facilitating adhesive distribution.Step 1006The at least one rotatable spatula 107 may be rotated and thereby distribute the adhesive on the patch 110.Rotating the at least one rotatable spatula 107 and thereby distributing the adhesive on the patch 110 may be understood as moving the spatula 107 in such a way as to spread the adhesive evenly and ensure effective bonding between the patch 110 and the net.The at least one rotatable spatula 107 may be rotated in any suitable speed. The at least one rotatable spatula 107 may rotate in one speed when distributing the adhesive on the patch 110. The at least one rotatable spatula 107 may rotate in different speeds when distributing the adhesive on the patch 110, for example one speed in the beginning and another speed later on. The speed or rotation may be dependent on the curing time of the adhesive. The rotational speed must be high enough to ensure that the adhesive is in the correct position before the curing starts.Step 1007A distance between the at least one rotatable spatula 107 and the support plate 101 may be adjusted when the spatula 107 is in the second position. In other words, during application, the spatula 107 rotates while the distance relative to the support plate 101 is adjusted, e.g. gradually reduced. This forces the adhesive through the meshes of the net to ensure uniform bonding on both sides of the net.The at least one rotatable spatula 107 is adjustable between a first distance suitable for distributing adhesive onto the patch 110 and a second distance suitable for providing the adhesive through the net and thereby securing the patch 110 to the net. The first distance is greater than the second distance. As mentioned above, adjusting a distance in this context may be understood as changing the separation between the spatula 107 and the support plate 101 to achieve an optimal configuration for the repair process. The second position may be understood as the operational arrangement of the spatula 107 for adhesive distribution and patch support. One advantage of this arrangement is that it allows for precise control over the contact pressure and positioning of the spatula 107 relative to the patch 110 and support plate 101, which may improve adhesive distribution, enhance bond quality, and accommodate different net or patch thicknesses. This may result in a more reliable, effective, and adaptable repair process for net pens. The first distance may be understood as a greater separation that facilitates even and effective distribution of adhesive onto the patch 110, while the second distance may be understood as a reduced separation that enables the spatula 107 to press the patch 110 against the net and ensure that adhesive passes through the net openings to form a secure bond. One advantage of this arrangement is that it allows for distinct operational phases during the repair, with optimal spacing for both adhesive application and final bonding. This may improve the consistency and reliability of the repair, promote strong adhesion, and help accommodate variations in net and patch thicknesses. The distance between the spatula 107 and the support plate 101 may determine the adhesive thickness and is adjustable by means of a threaded shaft. By rotating the threaded shaft, the distance may be increased or decreased to obtain the desired adhesive layer.Step 1008When application of adhesive is completed, the at least one spatula 107 may be pivoted from the second position to the first position. In other words, once the patch 110 is secured with adhesive on both sides of the net, the spatula 107 pivots upward away from the patch 110.Pivoting the at least one spatula 107 from the second position to the first position may be understood as moving the spatula 107 from its operational, adhesive-distributing configuration back to its insertion or withdrawal configuration. Retracting the repairing device from the net may be understood as removing the device from the repair site, while leaving the patch adhered in place over the repaired hole. One advantage of this arrangement is that it allows for efficient removal of the repairing device without disturbing the newly bonded patch 110, minimizing the risk of dislodging or misaligning the repair. This contributes to a reliable, consistent, and durable restoration of the net pen’s integrity, supporting continued use in aquaculture applications. The adhesive requires a curing period, which may be estimated based on the thickness of the adhesive layer and the water temperature. The patch 110 may be held in position for a period of time after dispensing the adhesive. However, it is not necessary to empty the adhesive source after each repair, as the adhesive source may contain a sufficient quantity of adhesive to repair multiple patches or patches of varying sizes. Smaller patches 110 may require less adhesive, so even a single-use cartridge may not be fully emptied in a single repair operation.Step 1009The repairing device may be retracted from the net, leaving the patch 110 glued to the hole in the net.The adhesive outlet 105, when arranged through the support plate 101, may be retracted through the support plate 101, releasing both the patch 110 and the stencil 113. The repairing device may then be withdrawn by either:- Pulling the spatula 107 entirely through the patch 110 while leaving the support plate 101 against the net and subsequently removing the support plate 101; or - Withdrawing the spatula 107 and support plate 101 together without first pulling the spatula 107 back through the patch 110.In both cases, the spatula 107 may be rotated as needed to avoid snagging the patch 110 during removal.Steps 1003-1009 may be performed in water. At least one of the steps 1001-1009 may be performed by the ROV. For example, steps 1003-1009 may be performed by the ROV, or all steps 1001-1009 may be performed by the ROV.When the counterhold is a stationary counterhold, at least one of steps 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004 and 1009 may be performed. When the counterhold is a movable counterhold, e.g. the rotatable spatula 107, at least one of steps 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, 1005, 1006, 1007, 1008 and 1009 may be performed. The following overview presents some alternative embodiments of the repair method, in which the method steps may be performed in different sequences depending on the operational requirements, the configuration of the repairing device, and environmental condition. Each alternative illustrates a possible order of applying, distributing, and curing the adhesive in relation to the patch 110 and the net, both above water and in water.Alternative 1: Pre-primed, adhesive added under installation:- Step 1) Apply 1st adhesive part to patch 110.- Step 2) Distribute 1st adhesive part on patch using any distribution device.- Step 3) Attach patch 110 with 1st adhesive part to repairing device.- Step 4) Insert repairing device through the hole and press patch 110 towards net - towards net.- Step 5) Apply 2nd adhesive part to patch 110.- Step 6) Distribute 2nd adhesive part, optionally with movable counterhold, e.g. spatula. - Step 7) Remove repairing device from net.Alternative 2: Dry patch 110, prime with ROV, adhesive added under installation:- Step 1) Attach patch to repairing device (no adhesive).- Step 2) Apply 1st adhesive part to patch 110. - Step 3) Distribute 1st adhesive part with movable counterhold, e.g. spatula 107- Step 4) Insert repairing device through hole and press patch 110 towards net- Step 5) Apply 2nd adhesive part to patch 110.- Step 6) Distribute 2nd adhesive part with movable counterhold, e.g. spatula 107.- Step 7): Remove repairing device from net.Alternative 3: Pre-primed- Step 1) Apply all adhesive to patch 110.- Step 2) Distribute 1st adhesive part on patch 110 using any distribution device.- Step 3) Attach patch 110 with adhesive to repairing device.- Step 4) Insert repairing device through hole and press patch 110 towards net.- Optionally: Step 5) Distribute adhesive with movable counterhold, e.g. spatula 107. - Step 6) Remove repairing device from net.Alternative 4: Prime with ROV- Step 1) Attach patch 110 to repairing device (no adhesive).- Step 2) Apply all adhesive to patch 110.- Optionally: Step 3) Distribute adhesive on patch 110 with movable counterhold, e.g. spatula 107.- Step 4) Insert repairing device through hole and press patch 110 towards net.- Step 5) Distribute adhesive with movable counterhold, e.g. spatula 107.- Step 6) Remove repairing device from net.Alternative 5: Adhesive added under installation- Step 1) Attach patch 110 to repairing device (no adhesive).- Step 2) Insert repairing device through hole and press patch 110 towards net.- Step 3) Apply all adhesive to patch 110.- Optionally: Step 4) Distribute adhesive with movable counterhold, e.g. spatula 107. - Step 5) Remove repairing device from net.The embodiments herein are not limited to the above described embodiments.
